Matt and Ross Duffer, creators of the series Stranger Things, have made some secrets regarding the future of Hawkins! While the fourth season has just been released on Netflix, much to the delight of fans who have been impatient for three years already, the directors have recently confirmed that the fifth season will be the last. A shocking announcement for fans who are now wondering how the adventures of Eleven and her friends will end. On this subject, the Duffer brothers already have ideas in mind. Whatever happens, they are sure that this last chapter will not require episodes as long as for the fourth season.
Speaking to “Happy Sad Confused,” the show’s creators explained, “The reason we don’t think it’s going to be that long is because if you think regarding it, 2 hours go by before the group begins to investigate a supernatural mystery. You see how their lives go, how they adjust to their new life, Steve tries to find a girlfriend, all that. And none of that will be necessary in season 5.”
Matt and Ross Duffer insist, however, that the very last episode of the series will probably be as long as a movie like the epilogue episode of season 4.
They added, “We will definitely have to do what we did for this season, which is a 2 hour episode.”
As for the plot, they explained, “The characters will be immediately in the thick of the action. They will already have a purpose and a purpose, and I think that will take us at least a few hours off and make this season very different.”
