Dubai: Former Indian cricketers Virender Sehwag and Diana Edulji and former Sri Lankan player Arvind de Silva in the Hall of Fame of the International Cricket Council (ICC). Edulji is the first Indian woman cricketer to receive this achievement. A former Indian women’s team captain, Edulji played in 20 Tests and 34 ODIs. The left-arm leg-spinner has taken 107 wickets across all formats.
Virender Sehwag, noted for his explosive batting, wore the Indian jersey in 104 Tests, 251 ODIs and 19 Twenty20 matches. 2007 T20 and 2011 ODI World Cups. He scored 8,586 runs in Tests and 8273 runs in ODIs. He is the first Indian player to complete a triple century in Tests. The highest score in ODIs is 219 runs.
Aravinda D’Silva was a crucial part of the Sri Lankan cricket team’s victories, including the 1996 ODI World Cup.
