A video of a lawyer pulling the dupatta of a high court employee’s wife in front of gate number 8 of the Allahabad High Court has gone viral on social media on Friday. In response to this incident, the High Court Ministerial Officers Association has written a letter to the High Court Bar Association demanding action against the accused. Meanwhile, the Bar has issued a show-cause notice to the accused seeking a response.
The high court employee’s wife had come to drop her husband at the high court. While returning after dropping her husband, her scooter collided with a lawyer’s car. This led to a dispute between the two parties. A video of the dispute has gone viral on social media, showing an argument between the lawyer and the woman. During the altercation, the lawyer pushes the woman and pulls her dupatta.
The High Court Ministerial Officers Association has expressed strong displeasure over this incident, stating that the lawyer has assaulted the woman’s dignity. The woman fell to the ground and sustained injuries. The Officers Association has released a letter naming the accused lawyer as Ram Bahadur Gupta, and there is a demand for strict action against him.

A call for action was made by posting the video of the incident between the lawyer and the woman on X, tagging the DCP of Prayagraj. The DCP has acknowledged the post and has directed the local police station in charge to take necessary action.
