A video that appeared online Oct. 21 showing how McDonald’s McRib is prepared is disgusting customers and sparking outrage online.
The footage shared this week on Twitter shocked thousands of customers who have since sworn never to eat the infamous McRib burger once more.
The images show the “ribs” product still frozen in blocks being lined up in strips on racks.
Once thawed, the strips of the “ribs” product that have been molded upstream to have the shape of the eponymous meat are drowned in the brown sauce.
It is still unclear at which branch the video was filmed, but it has been suggested that most branches follow the same process.
The person who uploaded the video online, which has been viewed more than 1.2 million times, said McRib ribs might hardly be considered food.
Among the 3,000 comments, several shared his opinion.
“I just threw up in my mouth. Just a little ”, was indignant a person.
“Looks like a frying sponge drowned in BBQ sauce,” another person described.
On October 24, McDonald’s announced the return of the famous McRib hamburger, specifying that it was its farewell tour.

Asked to comment on the controversy, McDonald’s was contacted by the New York Post regarding the video, but has yet to respond.
Strangely, at this time last year, a similar controversy had targeted the McRib following a video shared on TikTok had been viewed 1.3 million times.
