Hepatitis is an inflammation of the liver that can lead to many health problems and be fatal. There are five main strains of the hepatitis virus, called types A, B, C, D and E. According to the WHO, an estimated 4.5 million premature deaths might be prevented in low- and middle-income countries in by 2030 through vaccination, diagnosis, treatment and public awareness campaigns.
