Arrests following the violent protests that have erupted are continuing among the ranks of participants. Indeed, there were “79 Guineans arrested”. After their arrest, the Senegalese authorities considered, taking into account the friendly relations between Senegal and Guinea, “to expel these Guineans rather than the legal option”.

The Senegalese authorities had the choice of expelling these Guineans or bringing them before the courts of the country. Because of the friendship that binds Senegal to Guinea, says Minister Dr. Morissanda Kouyaté, “they chose to expel them”. The head of Guinean diplomacy, Dr. Morissanda Kouyaté, during a press briefing this Saturday, of which Laguinee.info gives us the content, “a first group of 31 Guineans, including 19 men and 12 women, were arrested. (…). There is a second group of 48 Guineans, including 12 children, 18 adult men and 18 adult women. Moreover, this last group is already at the border between Guinea and Senegal, in Boundoufourdou”.

The Guinean authorities will make the necessary checks to ensure that all those who have been expelled have not fraudulently obtained a Guinean passport.
