A violent mob in the guise of the so-called Baloch Raji Machi attacked security forces personnel on security duty in Gwadar district, resulting in the martyrdom of 30-year-old soldier Shabbir Baloch, a resident of Sabi district, and 16 personnel.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, sixteen soldiers, including an officer, were injured in unprovoked attacks by violent protesters on Tuesday.
“Fake and malicious propaganda is being spread on social media by propagandists using fake images and videos to garner sympathy and support for illegal violent marches,” ISPR said. .
According to ISPR, despite the provocation, the security forces have shown utmost restraint to avoid unnecessary civilian casualties.
The spokesperson of the Pakistan Army says that the violent acts of the mob are unacceptable and those responsible will be brought to justice.
ISPR says all citizens are requested not to fall prey to propaganda, remain calm and peaceful and cooperate with law enforcement agencies in maintaining law and order.
The ISPR further said that Pakistan’s security forces are determined to thwart attempts to sabotage the peace and stability of Balochistan along with the nation.

Home Minister Balochistan Zia Longo has reached Gwadar where he was briefed on the situation in a meeting related to public order and told that more than twenty people have been arrested.
The interior minister said that all the protesters have disappeared and the situation has returned to normal. We are ready to negotiate according to the constitution.
