This Wednesday evening, a rare scene of violence occurred in the streets of Namur. At the wheel of a Volkswagen, a mad driver hit several people in the station area, more precisely at the intersection of rue Borgnet, rue Rogier and rue de Fer. Following the shocks, two to three people were injured in the legs.

Subsequently, the motorist was assaulted with pieces of wood and iron bars, apparently by people hit by the vehicle and/or by their acquaintances.
The vehicle is damaged. The Namur public prosecutor’s office indicates that the driver and the attackers were deprived of their liberty. The authors should quickly be heard by the investigating judge.
