Firefights took place in northern Kosovo from the early hours of Sunday morning. Gunmen lured Kosovo police into an ambush near the village of Banjska. They shot a Kosovar official and injured another. In the following hours, around 30 masked men barricaded themselves in a nearby monastery. According to Kosovo police, three attackers were killed in the fighting.
