Six people, including four teenagers who were sitting with a young adult in a rented Lamborghini to go to their prom, had to be taken to the emergency room following a violent face-to-face with a valve from the English Post Office.
“I can confirm that although there are injuries among our students, fortunately there are no fatalities. This was confirmed to me this morning by the Metropolitan Police,” Principal Stepney All Saints School said in an email to parents and reported by “The Mirror” on Thursday.
Two days earlier, a major collision between a blue Lamborghini Urus, valued at £187,000, the equivalent of around $321,500, and an English Post valve, occurred in Beckton in east London in early evening.
According to images of the impressive collision, shared on the web, the accident occurred when the driver of the sports car attempted to overtake using the opposite lane, before hitting the valve, driven by a forty-something.
It was a man in his twenties who was then driving the Lamborghini, to accompany the teenagers to their prom, according to what the British media reported.
“All six people were taken to hospital where their injuries were assessed as not life threatening. There have been no arrests and the investigation is continuing,” a spokesman for the Metropolitan Police reportedly said, according to “The Mirror.”
