A line 81 bus was stoned on Sunday morning at the Préalle stop in Grâce-Hollogne, in the Liège region. The drivers at the Jemeppe-sur-Meuse depot spontaneously walked off the job to denounce the violence to which they are victims, indicates Tec on its website.
The Walloon public transport company explains that a bus was “violently targeted by stone throwing and several windows exploded under the impact of the projectiles without fortunately causing any injuries“.
“In view of the situation, the drivers at the Jemeppe depot spontaneously walked off the job at the end of the morning“, indicates the Tec on its site.
Trips on lines 53 and 81 are currently canceled in the direction of La Préalle. The unrest also causes disruptions on other Jemeppe lines.
“An assembly is underway“, specifies the Tec, who apologizes for the inconvenience.
