Violent Attack in Braine-l’Alleud: Arrest Warrant Issued for Attempted Murder

A resident of Braine-l’Alleud was placed under arrest warrant for attempted murder during the weekend, we learned on Monday from the Walloon Brabant public prosecutor’s office.

The police were called to intervene on Friday evening around 11:30 p.m. in a home located along the Chaussée d’Alsemberg, in Braine-l’Alleud.

The couple who occupy the house were victims of a violent attack.

A 32-year-old man from Brainerd, already well known to the law, took a hammer to demand money or drugs. It will be up to the ongoing judicial investigation to determine his motivations.

The 43-year-old resident suffered serious head injuries and was taken to hospital. The latest news is that his vital prognosis is no longer in jeopardy.
