Two trains were pelted with stones hours apart in the state. Stones were pelted at Kanhangad Rajdhani Express and at Malappuram Vandebharat Express. It is a relief that no one was injured in the violence. (Pelting stones to train two incidents in northern Kerala)
Rajdhani Express was pelted with stones at Kanhangad around 3.45 pm. The glass of the train was broken in the violence. No one was injured. Rajdhani Express was going to Thiruvananthapuram. Passengers were the first to notice that the glass had been hit by stones. The glasses of the AC coach were damaged. Police and RPF reached the spot and conducted an investigation. There is no information regarding the assailant. The initial conclusion of the officials is that the violence was not planned. After the checks, the train resumed its journey.

The Vande Bharat Express was pelted with stones at Malappuram. It is indicated that the stone pelting took place between Malappuram Tanur and Parappanangadi. The stone pelted on the service going towards Thiruvananthapuram. No one was hurt.
