Top: Vinci wins a mega contract for the Grand Paris Express
This colossal contract at 2.7 billion euros, Vinci may remember it for a long time. Several of its subsidiaries were selected by the Grand Paris company on Thursday July 13 to design the first section of line 15 West, which will connect, in Hauts-de-Seine, the Pont de Sèvres to La Défense. The contract includes the construction of 14 kilometers of tunnels, five stations, a rear station at Nanterre La Folie and 16 service structures. In a press release, Vinci specifies that the project will mobilize more than 2,000 people at the peak of activity and that 10% of the hours worked will be carried out in integration.
Flop: Slack for French start-ups
Bad news for French tech. French start-ups raised in the first half of 2023 half as much money as in the first half of 2022, according to the EY venture capital barometer unveiled on Monday July 10 (4.3 billion euros once morest 8.4 billion l last year). In question: “the rise in rates and the economic uncertainties which put a brake following the 13.5 billion euros raised in France last year”, notes in the study Franck Sebag, partner at EY. However, green industrial start-ups are doing well, and in particular cleantech, which raised 1.2 billion euros.
