Interviewed by journalists from Evening Mag, the actor and host Gérard Vives returned to a terrible accident that he experienced in the past with Vincent Lagaf., which we find this November 12 in A Sunday in the Country (France 2). Several years ago, in 2010, the actor of Muscular came close to death on an excavator piloted by the host of the Right price.
Still traumatized by this accident, he explains: “I’m writing a sketch that I have to perform attached to an excavator driven by Vincent. Near Purepeoplehe told : “When I crashed, I discovered what emptiness was. I know what it’s like to fall and I know that in a vacuum I normally die. But I was lucky enough to come out of it pretty darn well. Obviously when I’m in a vacuum, this event comes back to me.”
Blood begins to leak from his head
In his autobiography My name was FrankVincent Lagaf also recounted this tragic accident where he believed he had killed his best friend. “I arrive with the shovel on the platform, I unfold the arm, I grab the harness with the bucket of the excavator and I bring it back to the platform. I unfold the arm as much as possible, I raise it 2 meters, and I give it a little shake to rock it a little. But when the arm is unfolded, the movement is increased tenfold and the cable clamped by the jaws of the buckets begins to slide. Gérard is propelled, falls very heavily on his neck and instantly loses consciousness . Blood starts to escape from his head and then I understand that it’s serious.”
“It’s difficult to live with, damaging your friend, your playmate. I blamed myself for a very long time”he confided.
