Rue Rose-de-Lima Fully Reopens After Extensive Revamping

A complete transformation awaits motorists on Rue Rose-de-Lima, between Rue Saint-Antoine and Rue Notre-Dame Ouest. As of December 12, the street will be fully reopened to traffic, revealing a series of crucial enhancements. The project boasts:

  • All-new water main and sewer lines, ensuring reliable and efficient utilities for residents.
  • A full reconstruction of the roadway and sidewalks, creating a smoother and safer pedestrian experience.
  • The addition of a bidirectional bike lane, encouraging cycling and promoting sustainable transportation.
  • “Green” enhancements including new tree planting pits, boosting the beauty and freshness of the area.

Rue Saint-Antoine Restored to Normal Traffic Flow

Further easing commutes, Rue Saint-Antoine, between Avenue Atwater and Rue Rose-de-Lima, is returning to its normal westbound direction starting December 12. This ends the temporary traffic modifications implemented during construction.

Winter Break for Rue Saint-Antoine Projects

While the changes above are sure to be welcomed, work on Rue Saint-Antoine, between Rue du Couvent and Rue Sainte-Marguerite, will be taking a much-needed winter break. All traffic disruptions and parking restrictions in this area instituted during construction will be lifted. As of spring 2025, work on Rue Saint-Antoine will resume between Rue Sainte-Marguerite Street and Rue De Courcelle.
