The works of the new environmental conservation project and tomorrow, Tuesday, at 11 a.m.will be inaugurated Environmental Management Center (CGA) Villa María-Villa Nueva.

Center that aims eliminate open-air dumps and promote the circular economy, managing and revaluing solid urban waste (MSW) that both localities generate. At the same time that create new job opportunities for both municipalities, cooperatives and companies.

Funding for this project came from the national government through funds administered by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). For his part, he design was in charge of the Municipality of Villa Maríathrough the Ministry of Environment, Public Works and Services, and the execution of the work was entrusted to the company Milicic SA.

Characteristics of the Center

The CGA has a surface of 30 hectares, located on the old landfill of Villa María. The Ecopark has 20 new pieces of equipment, spread over six main plants, one for the separation, classification and subsequent recovery of rights, and five treatment plants for pruning remains, construction remains, glass, bulky and tires. will have two innovative systems for the use of organic wastewhich will allow the treatment and recovery of liquids from waste, being the first to have this technology in the country and Latin America. Thus, large amounts of water to be used to irrigate the property.

In addition, an innovation is implemented with a on-site composting systemwhich will enable the creation of useful products such as fertilizers for green areas. The objective is to collect 35 tons of Urban Solid Waste (MSW) per day, which includes solid and dry waste.
