A serious fire broke out on the followingnoon of Sunday the 14th in a house in the San Martín neighborhood, in Villa María. The event occurred in an internal department where three minors were alone.
The children are between 4 and 6 years old and were assisted first by neighbors and minutes later by Volunteer Firefighters who took them to the Pasteur Regional Hospital due to smoke inhalation, where they remain hospitalized.
The owner of the apartment, who rented to the minors’ family, was one of the people who helped and also had to be treated by medical personnel, but without the need for hospitalization.
Minutes following the incident, the children’s parents arrived at the scene and were attacked by neighbors who recriminated them for leaving them alone.
The case was handled by the First Shift Investigation Prosecutor, Silvia Maldonado, who this Monday 15 in a press conference indicated that the National Secretariat for Children, Adolescents and Family (SENAF) was intervened.
The prosecutor also indicated that everything is under investigation and that the Córdoba Fire Department was summoned to carry out the expert reports that allow the origin of the fire in the house to be identified, which was left with total destruction.
“The house was left without the possibility of being inhabited and these people must require social assistance,” said Maldonado.

On the other hand, La Voz was able to learn that the minors are stable at the Pasteur Regional Hospital.
Sources from the hospital indicated to this medium that the three are doing well.
“Two of them are in a common room and one in the Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit (PICU) with oxygen, due to irritation in the respiratory system,” they told La Voz.
In addition, this Monday they might take the oxygen away from the child who is in the PICU.
