Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson is undoubtedly one of the best pass receivers in the NFL. The 24-year-old was recently asked to name the top 5 current NFL quarterbacks.
His own playmaker Kirk Cousins did not make it into the selection.
Instead, Jefferson named Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, Joe Burrow, Jalen Hurts, and Josh Allen—in that exact order. Although he pushed his own passer following him, Cousins didn’t make it into the top 5.
Cousins not mad at Jefferson
Now he has commented on the statement of his receiver and obviously no problem with it. “This is the first time I’ve heard regarding it. I haven’t seen the interview,” he is quoted as saying by Sports Illustrated.
And further: “People have to be honest and say what they think. And I won’t tell anyone what to think,” Cousins explains and adds with a mischievous grin: “But hopefully I’ll be part of the list in 2024.”
