Exports of aquatic products reach 2.6 billion USD in four months
Vietnam achieved 2.6 billion USD in aquatic products exports in the first four months of 2023, down 31 percent year-on-year, the Vietnam Association of Aquatic Products Producers and Exporters (VASEP) reported. ).

Of this figure, shrimp exports brought in 891 million USD (-44%), pangasius 600 million USD (-47%), tuna (-36%).
Japan, China and the United States are still the main markets for Vietnamese aquatic products.
According to VASEP, companies in the sector are still under severe pressure as the consumer market and export prices have fallen while domestic production and processing are burdened by high production costs.
