The Indian Energy Week and the 9th Asian Energy Ministers Roundtable (AMER9) themed “Growth, Cooperation and Transformation” took place at India’s Bangalore International Exhibition Center since February 6-8.

Attending the event were 500 international speakers, thousands of energy experts and international delegates from more than 100 countries.

Under the authorization of the Minister of Industry and Trade, Mr. Bui Trung Thuong, Commercial Counselor of Vietnam in India attended this program.

This is India’s first major event in 2023 as the Chairman of the World’s Leading Group of Developing and Emerging Economies (G20).

Opening remarks, Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked regarding India’s growing strength as a great power energy conversion and officially launched E20, a 20% ethanol-gasoline blend, as part of the government’s plan to achieve a 20% ethanol blending ratio in India’s total petroleum supply by fiscal 2025-2026.

Prime Minister Modi emphasized: “The energy sector plays a huge role in determining the future of the world in the 21st century. India has a strong voice in developing new energy sources and in transitioning. energy exchange. India is poised to become a developed country with unprecedented energy potential.”

Within the framework of India Energy Week, the G20 and AMER9 Energy Transition Working Group meetings were held simultaneously.

AMER9 is jointly organized by the International Energy Forum (IEF) and the Indian Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas every two years.

As a member of IEF since 2011, Vietnam is always invited to the conference to discuss new pathways for energy security, inclusive growth and energy transition.

Setting out to secure a secure and sustainable future for diverse economies has helped make Asia a growth engine for the world economy.
