A family tragedy occurred in Chau Doc City, An Giang Province, Vietnam. A couple surnamed Nguyen was in financial difficulties due to a sudden loss of income at home. They bought “10 packs of sleeping pills” out of curiosity and tricked their two young children into taking them, which eventually led to Three people died in a tragedy, and only the father was rescued from a family of four.
According to Vietnamese media reports, a man surnamed Nguyen and his wife have two children aged 6 and 9 respectively. The family of four live in a small rented house. However, the couple lost their jobs a few months ago and cannot bear the huge life. Under pressure, the whole family decided to die together.
The couple visited many pharmacies on the evening of June 15 and purchased 10 packs of sleeping pills. After returning home, they first let their two young children swallow them, and then they took them together. The next morning, the owner of the house noticed something was wrong and immediately reported to the police. After the report, the police broke the door to check and found that Ruan’s wife and two children had died. Only Ruan Nan was left dying and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Although he was lucky to escape death, Ruan Nan still cannot escape legal punishment. Recently, the local procuratorate prosecuted Ruan Nan for “murder”. If the crime is confirmed, Ruan Nan may be sentenced to life imprisonment or death.
