Dhe Viennese actor, singer and entertainer Michael Fernbach made a guest appearance in St. Christophen.
“I was allowed to be on stage with him. I was able to win the brilliant Kreisler interpreters for the theater – a unique opportunity!” enthused Christa “Tschelsie” Berger, the landlady of the cultural hotspot in St. Christophen.
With voice and piano, the entertainer Georg Kreisler explored musical worlds and took his audience and listeners, including his mother, the well-known actress Dany Sigel, on a journey through the thematically diverse chansons.
Socially critical – political, bizarre-comedic, but also melancholic-human Michael Fernbach interpreted songs like “Doves poison in the park”, “Vienna without Viennese”, “Two old aunts dance tango in the middle of the night” and “Zyankali” – unforgettable Kreisler’s cynicism . The visitors took advantage of the short-term opportunity and were enraptured by Fernbach’s art of language, the sparkling cascade of words and his virtuoso piano playing.
