A man was seriously injured after a fire broke out on the third floor of a residential building in Vienna’s Ottaklin on Friday evening. According to radio reports, the fire department responded at 8 p.m. and found a person who had fallen inside the apartment where the fire broke out. The man was removed from the building by a respiratory protection team. The man, about 50 years old, suffered second-degree burns, according to professional rescue services. He had to be intubated and ventilated and was taken to hospital in critical condition.

A man who fell into a burning apartment had to use a rescue bathtub to rescue him. After the flames were completely extinguished, the fire department cleared the building of smoke.
