Government commissioner to be appointed
Vienna (OTS) – The situation in the Vienna Medical Association is getting worse: President Steinhart is now being investigated for the dubious conduct of the chamber’s own company Equi4Ordi. He is on sick leave for an indefinite period and is not thinking of resigning, despite the allegations and the investigations by the public prosecutor once morest him. According to reports, many internal resolutions can no longer be made at all due to the absence of many mandataries and the resulting lack of a quorum. Votes in the Curia of the Residents now take place without discussion as a circular resolution, which is contrary to the statutes. Therefore, the MFG group of doctors around DDr. In a statement of the facts, Christian Fiala calls on the competent supervisory authority – the Vienna MA 40 – to appoint a government commissioner and to call new elections as provided for in the law (§ 195b ÄG). Still President Steinhart without trust
“President Steinhart has also lost support in his own group, which also explains the split in his group,” says MFG medical group spokesman Fiala. “Due to the investigations once morest him that have become known, trust has been completely lost. The MFG doctors’ group therefore demands that the ÄK finally performs its actual task once more, namely the representation of medical interests and advocacy for the health of the population. Important current topics are the negotiations with the ÖGK and the political decision-makers on freedom of therapy, protection of individual ordinations and inflation compensation for doctors. The MFG group of doctors is also demanding the creation of a separate department to deal with the scandalous corona measures that the medical association was pushing then and now, contrary to any scientific evidence. In particular, the often arbitrary AK disciplinary proceedings once morest critically thinking doctors and the draconian penalties imposed are to be examined. Furthermore, the MFG doctors’ group calls for a transparency initiative in the ÄK, contrary to the current secrecy. Among other things, not only the salaries of the elected mandataries, but also those of the leading AK functionaries must be disclosed, which has so far been stubbornly refused.
