Bloody outcome of a Christmas party in Vienna: A 47-year-old stabbed a 43-year-old former colleague several times in the upper body with a knife at the former employer’s party in Vienna-Landstrasse on Friday evening. The man was seriously injured as a result, the police announced on Saturday.
The 47-year-old Croatian citizen is said to have had an argument with guests at the painting company’s Christmas party, then pulled out his knife and stabbed them. The Vienna professional rescue service and an emergency doctor provided the victim with emergency medical care and then took him to a hospital.
The suspected perpetrator is on the run. The Vienna State Criminal Police Office, Center/East branch is currently searching for the 47-year-old. The murder weapon has not yet been recovered.
