On the 29th of this month, the envelopes corresponding to the tender to complete the work on the future headquarters of the municipality of Viedma in the building on Moreno Streetwhich was provided by the Horizonte company.
The official budget exceeds 620 million pesos, with an execution period of 365 consecutive days, and the funds will be provided by the Program to Support the Development of Municipal and Communal Infrastructure.
«This year the Viedma government managed to consolidate the federal financing necessary for the completion of the Viedma government headquarters, without affecting the own budget or risking the normal development of local accounts«, explained Gastón Renda, secretary of Urban Planning, Habitat and Public Works of the commune.
According to the official, “with the new building, three objectives that Mayor Pesatti marked as fundamental aspects to be achieved will be achieved: greater efficiency in serving neighbors, the unification of the areas and integration of the secretaries in a single building space and a substantial improvement in the working conditions of municipal workers.
«For our management it was essential to start the most important works with some solid source of financing that “It would allow us to move forward with some level of minimal certainty in a context that is still very uncertain.” Renda said, emphasizing that “the challenge is to face adversity and difficulty responsibly.”
The new Municipal headquarters has approximately 2,500 square meters, which are developed on 5 levels and is located on Moreno street, between Laprida and San Martín. The unfinished building belonged to the Horizonte insurance company and was transferred to the municipality in 2020, through a 30-year agreement.
What are the pending works
The work that will be tendered consists of completion of installation, masonry, and architectural tasks to put the building into operation for the location of offices belonging to the municipality.
The building is organized around a central covered patio that spatially connects the five floors of the property.
Surrounding its perimeter, the public and private circulations of the different floors will be organized. Which will be linked by a metal staircase located in this central space that, together with the elevator located on the right edge, will organize vertical circulation.
The objective is for the municipality to have a building where can centralize several secretaries and agencies in one place to provide a more efficient service to the citizen who must attend to carry out the procedures and consultations.
There they will concentrate, on the one hand the public service areas, as well as the areas of the municipality that work together and are today distributed in different parts of the city.
