Dubai Airports, the manager of the emirate’s airports, issued an alert today announcing that “operations continue to be significantly disrupted at Dubai International Airport due to heavy rains and flooding” on this day.

Likewise, he highlighted that “there are Major flooding on access roads around Dubai leading to the airport,” and announced that “current weather forecasts indicate that unsettled weather will continue to cause delays and disruptions until the early hours of the morning of Wednesday, April 17.”
For all these reasons, Dubai Airports activated response teams to work closely with airlines and other service partners with the aim of “restore normal operations as soon as possible and minimize inconvenience” to passengers.

Given these circumstances, they recommended travelers to use the Dubai metro “for smoother traffic” and taking advantage of the fact that the metropolitan extended its service until 03:00 hours (23:00 GMT).
On the other hand, the Government of Dubai extended remote work for public employees until tomorrowWednesday, April 17, due to weather conditions, as reported in a statement on his X account.
