Lautaro, 16, was returning from a party with his group of friends on Sunday morning. Suddenly warned that a friend was being robbed and decided to intervene in his defensebut the criminals reacted to the bottle blows and left the victim in critical condition. The violent sequence occurred in the town of Centennial Villapart of Lomas de Zamora. Five of the attackers were arrested and a sixth is on the run. Due to the magnitude of the injuries received, the victim suffered a “serious head injury.”
Among those accused of the attack are 2 minorsboth 17 years old, and three adults identified as Nicolás Capristo, Diego Alejandro Silva and Walter Romero. The latter are between 18 and 20 years old. A sixth member of the group, who would also be implicated in the events, is fugitive.
The five detainees were circulating in two vehicles, a gray Volkswagen Bora and a yellow New Beatle. They approached the victims at the intersection of Guidi de Franc and Zamora streets, in Villa Centenario.
Gonzalo Aranda, one of Lautaro’s friends, was the victim of the initial robbery that prompted Lautaro’s reaction. When he tried to defend his friend, the attackers he was hit three times on the head with a vodka bottle.
Immediately followingwards, Lautaro contacted his brother Alan to ask for help.

Lautaro is in intensive care
The adolescent is currently hospitalized in the Intensive care unit belonging to the Sagrada Familia Clinic of the City of Buenos Aires. His status is “delicate” since he presented a “frontal extradural hematoma…, multiple lesions in the cerebral cortex, invasion of the ventricles, left frontal hematoma.”
The case, investigated as attempted aggravated homicide and robbery, It was left in charge of the prosecutor Andrés Vagnara, who works in the Juvenile Criminal Responsibility jurisdiction of Lomas de Zamora.
One of the vehicles that transported the suspects was hijacked, as well as objects and clothing from the Superior School of Martial Arts.
Alan, the victim’s brother, shared his defense on Instagram and referred to Lautaro’s evolution.
“Today my brother, only 16 years old, a student and an athlete, pElea for her health, in intensive therapy with a respirator, without knowing the consequences that may remain“.
