Pierre Gasly (Scuderia AlphaTauri) ended the session following suffering from a fire in the air intake during the second free practice session of the F1 Singapore GP.
Pierre Guthrie, who started running on medium tires, switched to soft tires, ran 6 laps, marked 13th, and returned to the pits with 20 minutes remaining.
Initially, there was no problem, and the mechanics of AlphaTauri F1 were proceeding with the work of putting Pierre Gasly’s machine in the garage as usual, but suddenly a fire broke out from the air intake. A fire extinguisher was quickly put out by the rival Aston Martin crew, but Gasly’s session ended there.
AlphaTauri F1 also ended the session following a problem with Yuki Tsunoda’s fuel system occurred.
