VIDEO | xQc offers a big gift to a boy who wants to become a streamer

Quebec streamer Félix Lengyel, better known under the pseudonym xQc, experienced a touching moment this weekend by paying for the computer of a boy who wants to become a streamer.

Everything took place live from Kick, a platform for streaming which competes with Twitch. xQc was on Monkey Chat, an app similar to the defunct Omegle, when he was recognized by two boys.

It’s not hard to believe that he was quickly recognized by users, as xQc was the most-watched streamer on Twitch in 2021, and he now has over 11 million followers. His journey on the web has not been without hiccups, but Lengyel continues to attract his audience, regardless of the platform used.

“Can you buy me a PC for Christmas?” the boy asked, with endearing frankness. “You’re a millionaire!” he added before the streamer might respond.

xQc asked him what he wanted for a PC, and the boy replied that he wanted anything that might run Fortnite, and that he wanted to become a streamer too. An amount was then transferred to the boy, who quickly burst into tears.

An extract (with some editing cuts) was published on YouTube via a channel which brings together the highlights of xQc broadcasts.

The weekend was eventful for xQc. One of his YouTube channels, the main one, was suspended due to copyright infringement claims. As of this writing, the channel has returned to YouTube and its content is once once more accessible.
