The match started with a hectic opening ten minutes. In the very first minute, Hanáci dealt a blow to Dukla. Langer passed to Kliment, who was lurking in the big box, who leaned into the shot and aimed exactly under the crossbar – 1:0 for Sigma.

But right away, the Hanáci were at a numerical disadvantage. Adam Dohnálek pulled Mešanović to the ground and referee Kotal sent off the young defender after the intervention of the video.

Coach Janotka sent fresh reinforcement Jan Krále into the game, for whom it was the first start for Sigma since his recent transfer.

The players from Olomouc did not let their numerical disadvantage paralyze them and in the 11th minute rushed to outnumber them. That was finished by Kliment shooting, whose shot was blocked by a Dukla defender.

After a quarter of an hour of the game, Tadeáš Stoppen got out for the first time.

Ten minutes later it was Sigma who stuck the horns in again. A quick counterattack was led by Kliment, who was rushed by Mikulenka and Vodháněl. Kliment passed to Mikulenko, whose good shot was blocked by a defender near the right post.

The end of the first half was as hectic as the beginning. In the 44th minute, Lichý fouled Langer sharply. Referee Kotala first showed a yellow card, but VAR intervened again, which corrected the referee’s decision. Lichý saw red and the forces on the field were even.

Sigma had two big chances in regulation time. First, Hruška had to intervene against a good shot by Vodháněl from a free kick. After that, Sláma got to the volley and the ball ended up just short of the post.

Sigma struck Dukla’s second blow in the 59th minute. Zorvan’s cross from the corner was deflected by the visitors’ defense, but only to Kliment, who did not hesitate and with the first shot broke through the wall of bodies, including the goalkeeper Hruška – 2:0.

MATCH EDIT:

A few minutes later, Hanáci could have already led by three goals. Fiala narrowly missed Chvátal’s sharp cross from the right. The event continued and at the end of it, Vodháněl was burning dangerously. Hruška had to intervene.

Dukla immediately got back into the match. Douděr sent Řezniček into a 100% chance with a vertical shot and the experienced gunner was not wrong. Hanáci only held a one-goal lead.

The guests still tried to push Sigma and fought for at least a point at the Andro Stadium, but coach Janotka’s men did not concede another goal and returned to the winning streak. They beat Dukla Prague 2:1.

They will play their next match on Friday, September 27, starting at 7:30 p.m. in the epet Arena against defending champion Sparta Prague.

Reviews

Tomáš Janotka: “I think it was a very interesting and varied match. An early and quick goal certainly helped us. We were leading 1:0. The red card for Adam Dohnálek was a significant complication. Apart from the first goal, it was one of the important factors of the match.”

“It was also important that, until the Dukla player was sent off, we were able to defend precisely and didn’t let the opponent into any scoring opportunities.”

“The 2-0 goal allowed us to allow ourselves to make one mistake in the game. The correction to 2:1 was only cosmetic. But it’s a shame that we conceded and didn’t finish the match without stress.”
