The rain was accompanied by lightning and thunder at the airport Fujairah The international airport, and heavy rains obstructed some streets and squares in the emirates of Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah, with the continued multiplication of cumulus rain clouds.
No injuries
For its part, Fujairah Police said that there were no injuries as a result of the torrential rains, noting that the damage was only to homes and vehicles due to the torrential rains.
The Deputy Commander of Fujairah Police explained that the emirate received support and backing from the Abu Dhabi and Dubai polices due to the floods, pointing out that all the streets of the emirate were damaged by the torrents.

It is noteworthy that the Vice President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, ordered the mobilization of emergency and rescue teams in Dubai, to support rescue operations in the Emirate of Fujairah and the eastern regions of the country, which were hit by heavy rain, today, Wednesday.
He also directed the formation of an urgent committee to work on limiting the damages of torrential rain and rain in the Emirates, and to transfer all families affected by the rain to temporary shelter sites and nearby hotels.
