In the midst of a hard-fought contest, Australian Tai Tuivasa landed the Black Beast with a sneaky elbow to the chin that sent him face-first to the canvas.
Australian mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Tai Tuivasa defeated American Derrick Lewis with an accurate elbow strike in the heavyweight co-main event of the UFC 271 event this Saturday in Houston, Texas.
During the second round, and in the midst of a very close contest, Tuivasa managed to land a sneaky elbow to Lewis’s chin that immediately knocked him out, sending him face first to the canvas. In this way, ‘Bam Bam’ raised his winning streak in the company to five in a row and is closer to his aspirations of challenging the title, currently in the hands of Francis Ngannou.
Meanwhile, Derrick suffered his second loss in the last three fights. In December, the Black Beast had become the most KO/TKO fighter in UFC history following prevail regarding his compatriot Chris Daukaus.
