Sunday evening, during the Super Bowl, Amazon Prime unveiled the first trailer for the series on “The Lord of the Rings”. The first episode is due to air on September 2.
Seven months before the broadcast of the first episode, Prime Video, raises the sauce. On the occasion of Super Bowl, the final of the American championship, Amazon’s streaming platform, released this Sunday, February 13 the first trailer for the highly anticipated series on “The Lord of the Rings”, called “The Rings of Power”. “A New Legend starts September 2 only on Prime Video,” comments Amazon.
The sequence of one minute all stack, connects sumptuous landscapes, scenes of battles, without revealing a lot regarding the plot or the characters. We know, however, that the series takes place several thousand years before the intrigues told by the first two trilogies. The series will be inspired by the texts of John RR Tolkien, which have been grouped together in the work entitled “the Silmarillion”.
The series is helmed by John D. Payne and Patrick McKay: “Until now, fans have only been able to see the One Ring stories on screen, but before there were only ‘one, there were many more of them… and we are delighted at the idea of being able to share their story”, had explained at the beginning of January the two directors in an interview taken up by The Parisian.
