Olga Sánchez was the prosecutor who, together with the investigating judge Juan del Olmo, led the investigation into the terrorist attacks that, on the morning of March 11, 2004, killed 192 people and injured 1,900 in Madrid. Javier Gómez Bermúdez presided over the court that conducted the oral hearing and handed down the conviction to the members of the jihadist cell responsible for placing the bombs on several commuter trains. Now, 20 years later, the prosecutor and the judge remember in this video those days when the conspiracy theory – the great hoax that used fake news and malicious doubts to torpedo the official investigation – caused added pain to the victims of the attacks. .
