Video: Skay Beilinson’s greeting that excited all the ricottos: “To my dear Indian brother”

Skay Beilinson and Indio Solari were the fundamental pieces of one of the most important bands in national music: Patricio Rey y sus Redonditos de Ricota. After more than 20 years of career, their paths separated in the middle of a strong discussion that, according to Solari, was a betrayal. Thus, both were (and continue) more than 20 years without speaking with crossed statements in between.

However, last weekend the guitarist sent a greeting to his fellow traveler and the message made a deep impression on the “ricoteros” followers.

On Saturday Skay Beilinson offered a concert with Los Fakires at the Centenario Stadium in Quilmes, on the same property where he had performed in February of last year.

The guitarist and singer dedicated the show to the journalist and writer Enrique Symns, who had served as a monologue for Patricio Rey and his Redonditos de Ricota in the 80s and who passed away a few days ago.

Near the end of the concert, while singing a whole stickone of the few Ricotero hymns that included the set list (in addition to the medley between The kid of the shipyards y Our master plays the slave, Criminal Matters y Ji ji ji), surprised the crowd when he evoked the singer of Los Redondos, Indio Solari, his former creative partner.

“Greetings to my dear brother Indio,” said Skay, in the middle of the chorus. A gesture that, following more than two decades of estrangement and media fights, raises the hope not of a reunion of the band, but of a reconciliation expected by all the fans.
