Ronaldo suffers a bloody injury on the night of Portugal’s victory
Today, Saturday, Portugal defeated its host, the Czech Republic, with four goals to nothing, in the fifth round of the second group of the first level of the European Nations League.
Diogo Dalot opened the scoring in the 33rd minute, and Bruno Fernandez added the second goal (45 + 2), and Patrick Shaik missed the opportunity to reduce the result from a penalty kick (45 + 6), to end the first session with a score (2-0).
In the second half, Dalot scored his second and third personal goal for his team in the 52nd minute, and Diogo Jota concluded the Portuguese quartet in the 82nd minute, ending the match (4-0).
The Portuguese national team star, Cristiano Ronaldo, suffered a strong nose injury in the 14th minute, following he tried to rise high with his head inside the penalty area to get the ball, and collided with Czech goalkeeper Tomas Vaclik. After the collision, Ronaldo fell to the ground bleeding, and the Portuguese medical team rushed to his aid.
Portugal raised its score with this victory to 10 points at the top of Group B, and the balance of the Czech team froze at 4 points in fourth place.
