A year following “Ever Given”: “Ever Forward” is stuck outside of Baltimore
STORY: There is no forward and no backward. According to the US Coast Guard, the container ship Ever Forward ran aground in the Chesapeake Bay near Baltimore. The container ship is operated by the same Taiwanese transport company as Ever Given. They had blocked the Suez Canal last year. The safety of the crew on board the Ever Forward is now controlled by the US Coast Guard – the state of flora and fauna is also monitored, according to the emergency services. Accordingly, the container giant is not a hindrance for other ships. The operating company Evergreen Marine initially did not comment.
Almost 12 months following the sensational blockade of the Suez Canal, the “Ever Forward” is stuck off Baltimore. So far no one is said to have been harmed.
