Video: NASA detects sound coming from a black hole

The world’s newest and largest space telescope has revealed unprecedented details of Jupiter in images that will help scientists understand what is happening on the planet.

On Monday, the US space agency (NASA) published the images taken by the James Webb Space Telescope last July of the largest planet in the solar system.

With its infrared camera, the telescope captured unprecedented views of Jupiter’s northern and southern lights, massive storms, winds and blazing aurora borealis.

One of the wide-field images is particularly intriguing, showing faint rings around the planet, as well as two small moons once morest a shimmering background of galaxies.

Infrared images have been colored through blue, white, green, yellow and orange filters, to highlight specific parts of Jupiter.

James Webb is the “most advanced space telescope of its kind” and was sent into space regarding 7 months ago. The $10 billion telescope is installed in an orbit 1.5 million kilometers from Earth.

And equipped James Webb with enough fuel to keep it running for twenty years. Thus, astronomers expect to make new discoveries thanks to it.
