The images are terrifying. In a video circulating on social networks you can see how A man, with a knife, tried to murder who would be his former romantic partner while she was working in a commercial establishment in the San Cristóbal district of Medellín.
The incident was recorded on the premises’ security cameras. There, at first, you see a woman running out of the store who meets another person on the outskirts of the store and, terrified, looks inside.
Then the victim, 21 years old, is seen trying to flee from the man who manages to grab her from behind and knock her to the ground.
He immediately begins to attack her with the knife, while she, in vain, tries to defend herself. In the video you can see that he stabs him at least 26 times, until two men appear and throw things at the aggressor and, thanks to that intervention, the aggressor stops and begins to flee.
The woman, bloodied, gets up from the ground and heads towards the door of the premises looking for help. Her coworker, who had earlier fled to avoid being attacked, talks to her and looks at her injuries. Then they call an ambulance so that the young woman can be treated.

Police investigate the case
The commander of the Metropolitan Area Police of the Aburrá Valley, General William Castaño Ramos, assured that, after learning of the incident, they began investigation work to find the whereabouts of the suspect.
“With the preliminary information collected by the surveillance patrol, the aggressor has been identified, who, apparently, would be the victim’s former romantic partner,” the officer specified.
He reported that, given the severity of the injuries, the victim is being treated at a healthcare center in Medellín, where his prognosis is reserved.
Suspect would have a criminal record
The man who would have tried to commit the femicide was identified as Jorge Alberto Macías Manco, better known as alias ‘Ete’. The man, according to preliminary information, would have a criminal record for drug trafficking, conspiracy to commit a crime, money laundering and terrorist financing.
Apart from this, according to what the authorities learned, The young woman had already been the victim of attacks by the suspect, reason why the romantic relationship would have ended. However, it is unknown if she had reported him for these events.
