Civilians killed: Russian army continues attacks on Ukrainian targets
STORY: Russian army attacks on targets in Ukraine continued on Tuesday. Rocket fire on the center of the capital was reported from Kyiv. According to the Interior Ministry, the television tower was hit. The mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, published these recordings on social networks. At least five people are said to have died in the shelling. The Russian military had previously announced that it intended to strike against the infrastructure of the Ukrainian secret services. Heavy shelling was also reported from the second largest Ukrainian city of Kharkiv in the north-east. At least ten people are said to have been killed there and at least 35 injured. The city of millions near the border with Russia has been particularly under fire since Monday. Attacks were also reported from the port city of Mariupol. Ukrainian military intelligence said Belarusian troops may be imminent to intervene in the conflict. Accordingly, 300 Belarusian tanks have already been massed on the border with Ukraine.
