You will have to hang on! A few kilometers from Honolulu, in the Hawaiian archipelago, stands a disproportionate staircase: 3,922 steps over a drop of more than 650 meters leading to the summit of Ko’olau. Originally, in 1942, there was a simple ladder there, built by the American Navy to reach a radio station which was at the top. Today, access is prohibited to the public but hikers do not hesitate to attempt the ascent to admire the 360° panorama on the island of Oahu.
