The PlayStation 5 maker has modeled its pricing on that of Microsoft’s rival offering, according to the leaked documents.

The arrival of the new subscription formula for Sony video games is becoming clearer. Documents consulted by the site Gamebeat confirm the redesign of the PlayStation Now and PlayStation Plus offer into an all-in-one subscription revealed at the end of December. The all-in-one will be relative according to the three different price categories, namely 10, 13 and 16 dollars per month.
According to the publication, Sony would have chosen as name Spartacus Essential, Extra and Premium. The entry-level formula would be the closest to the current PlayStation Plus offer. For 10 dollars, she will give monthly access to games to complete her toy library.
As for the intermediate offer, Extra, it will include access to these same monthly games for 13 dollars, as well as a catalog made up of a hundred older games to download. This catalog could be similar to that of the PS Now offer.
First tests
Finally, the Premium subscription will cost $16 per month and will include all of the aforementioned perks, plus access to PS Now’s streaming features and a library of classic games. In addition, it will provide access to a feature to download and test games for a limited number of hours before their official release.
The high-end offer would thus be barely more expensive than Microsoft’s Xbox Games Pass Ultimate, billed at 14.99 dollars and just as much in Swiss francs. As a reminder, the Xbox Games Pass offers two other formulas at 12 fr., reserved for Xbox consoles, respectively for PCs. But we can expect introductory offers from Sony, as well as discounts depending on the subscription period.
The new Spartacus formula is expected to enter phase in the coming weeks.
