YouTuber Jason ‘Dunky’ Castro has announced his own indie game publisher BigMod.
In a five-minute upload to his YouTube channel, Castro explained how he realized he had been sitting on the sidelines for too long, waiting for “great games” to appear, and now wanted to make a mark in the industry with his own business. Understanding the media. This is part of what he had to say:
“I’ve been on YouTube for 11 years now and one of the main themes of my channel is throwing soulless money in the trash, and raising and praising truly inspiring artwork in that medium.”
“…for years and years and years, I’ve always looked for and tried to justify the best indie games, by putting a million eyes on games that really deserve attention…Videos keep loading up with indie game recommendations like Hades’ best of the year…”
… “I want all real gamers watching this video to know that I will never risk my legitimacy by trying to push some Juncas games I don’t believe in”
Castro added how his team has gone to great lengths to make BigMod contracts as “developer friendly” as possible, which will allow game developers to succeed and “continue to succeed” into the future. Bigmode is already inviting people to log into the company:
“At BigMod we only want to work with the most passionate and creative people, I’m sick of all these poor games, I’m sick of all the spam, I just want to work with the people who deal with ham. We’re not aiming for bronze, we’re going for gold.
