35 years after his disappearance, Dalida is always remembered. This Tuesday, April 12, his brother Orlando was the guest of It’s up to you to promote the box Dalida – 35 years old already and the reissue of his memoirs. On set, the interested party has paid tribute to his sister by sharing many touching memories about hert. “Do you continue to take care of Dalida as if she were still there?“, wondered Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine. Her guest then remembereda promise made to the singer on her deathbed : “It’s a promise I made to her the day she left. Yolanda, she’s my sister, that’s another bereavement, but the artist, I promised her that she will never die“, confided, moved, Orlando.
And to remember that his sister was a woman of challenges: “All her life, Dalida set herself challenges. And even the last, she won. She wanted to leave in full glory, in full beauty, she didn’t want time to do its work on her. And when we see how present she is today“, commented Orlando on the set of It’s up to you. And to sum up, admiringly: “It’s a set of Dalida things. It’s not just the voice, it’s everything else, the physical, etc (…) She knew how to do everything.”

His brother, “his double”
If Orlando to me touching words for his sister, the converse was also true. In an archive released by the team of It’s up to youwhich will be available in the box Dalida – 35 years old already – the one who was in a relationship with Alain Delon paid tribute to his brother: “I was lucky to have someone who really loves me, that’s my brother, that’s Orlando. He knows me so well (…) which means that he sometimes knows exactly what I think, what I want. It relieves me enormously, when a song is brought to him. Once, we made a bet, we said to ourselves: ‘here are so many songs, I’m going to choose, you’re going to choose without telling me.’ And we came across the exact same songs. He knows me so well, it’s great“, confided the singer who said of her brother that he was “son double“.
