As Aurélie Casse recalled in C l’hebdo the rest this Saturday October 5, at that time, Anne-Sophie Lapix was “the face of the presidential election on public service”. If she didn’t let anything appear, the journalist, who has made frankness her trademark, nevertheless had to confront at the same time “a huge ordeal” in her personal life: at the time, her husband since 2010, Arthur Sadoun, was waging a fierce battle against cancer… A fight against the disease that the chairman of the Publicis board of directors only revealed much later, while praising the support of his wife, not hesitating to declare: “Anne-Sophie was incredible”as Aurélie Casse pointed out.

With great modesty, Anne-Sophie Lapix defended herself from having been “amazing”believing that his reaction was the least he could do. For her, as for many other celebrities who had to go through a similar ordeal, it was unimaginable to let the object of her affection fight this fight without her support. “It’s normal to be at his bedside and try to cope with the shock by his side”she explained, while conceding: “You never expect it, and you are a little dizzy by the danger, the fear of losing someone.” Probably the worst thing for her was seeing how her husband was “extremely affected, physically and morally”. However, the journalist has always refused to give in to pessimism: “I never thought it was going to be fatal…”

Anne-Sophie Lapix and Arthur Sadoun: sixteen years of love

For the one who met the businessman who made her heart beat in 2008, among mutual friends, the idea of ​​losing him was simply inconceivable. After love at first sight, the couple, whose relationship is based on listening, respect and solidarity, tied the knot two years later. If, as she confirmed again this Saturday, October 5, Anne-Sophie Lapix prefers to avoid talking about her private life, the journalist nevertheless confided to the magazine ELLE that Arthur Sadoun and she have “the same priorities”and that she considers him as a “essential support”. Very admiring of the “unbelievable strength of character” of her companion, the journalist again confided to Aurélie Casse: “If I’m a fighter, he’s… We’re way above it.”
