Marco Asensio hasn’t looked happy at Real Madrid lately, as he’s almost always been on the bench, and he was clearly upset in front of the Santiago Bernabeu fans.
This happened when Dani Carvajal entered the 70th minute of the match in which Real Madrid defeated its guest Real Mallorca by four goals for a goal in the fifth round of the Spanish League, due to an injury to Lucas Vazquez, leaving his team without any available substitutions.
Asensio exploded, kicked a water bottle, and when he reached the bench, he sat down and threw his shirt on another seat next to him, when the match was the result of the match pointing to a draw, and the “royal” attack was made up of Rodrygo, Vinicius and Fede Valverde.
Italian coach Carlo Anceletto commented on the incident, saying, “The truth is that I wanted to make two substitutions. I was preparing to enter Mariano Diaz and Asensio, but Vazquez was injured and left me only one option.”
“If Asensio is angry, I agree with him, it is normal, it means that he wants to play, feel important, for a while he was the most influential player in the team and I take that into account, I understand his anger, it is normal.”
Marco Asensio visibly upset following he wasn’t subbed on today. Throwing and kicking things as he showed his frustrations….
Asensio is definitely going to leave the club, his time at Real Madrid is coming to an end.
