Vidan: The path to peace in the Middle East is to curb Israel’s madness

“Israel’s unconditional supporters are complicit in the massacre in Gaza, and the perpetrators of the massacres in Gaza must not go unpunished,” Fidan said at a press conference in Istanbul with Montenegro’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ervin Ibrahimovic, stressing that it is imperative that these killers be held accountable sooner or later in international courts.

“The government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu must be stopped, our region cannot tolerate more unrest, and the international community must pressure Israel regarding the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza and prevent the Palestinians from being condemned to starvation,” Vidan added.

He explained that “Turkey supported the genocide case filed by South Africa against Israel from the first moment, and intervened in the case filed before the International Court of Justice,” stressing that the region cannot bear more tension, conflicts and new wars, and Israel must be stopped.”

Vidan called on those who support Israel unconditionally, and the countries that constantly ship weapons to Israel, to abandon the habit of placing blame in the wrong place/party, as it is clear who is escalating the tension.

Fidan concluded by stressing that “if those parties supporting Israel do not want to bear more blame, Israel must be stopped,” and he said: “The way to ensure peace and calm in the Middle East is to curb Israel’s madness. We, as Turkey, want peace and calm in our region.”
