Victrola Stream Carbon, a Sonos-certified turntable

Victrola, the leading manufacturer of turntables with built-in speakers for over 115 years, today unveils the Victrola Stream range of turntables, bringing a wireless vinyl experience to music lovers with Sonos speakers.

The Victrola Stream Carbon turntable does not require any additional equipment to connect to a Sonos ecosystem, thus allowing simple installation and easy control with the Sonos app, and which complements it with a premium and elegant design.

As vinyl is making a comeback around the world, Victrola Stream brings a unique music experience both physical and digital to Sonos users everywhere as a new Works with Sonos certified turntable.

The flagship Stream Carbon turntable is available today; further products from the Victrola Stream turntable range will be announced by summer 2023.

After a simple, one-time setup process via its app, users can control their Stream Carbon turntable from the Sonos app or the light-up control button, creating musical memories with friends and family as soon as the diamond touches the grooves of the record. Listeners can send volume-controlled music from a disc to any Sonos speaker in their home, just like from a hub on their Sonos system.

“We spend a lot of time with our consumers trying to understand how and why they like to listen to music the way they do. We discovered that a large number of Sonos system owners were also vinyl enthusiasts. More importantly, consumers have told us they’ll listen to even more music if they can play their favorite records on their Sonos system, using their app,” said Scott Hagen, CEO of Victrola. “It was with this in mind that we were brought to work with members of the Sonos team on a multi-year development that ultimately resulted in the most innovative musical product in the turntable market. We’re proud of how easy the Stream Carbon is to set up and use, but we’re even prouder of how people react when they’re listening to vinyl with friends or family through their Sonos system. »

“Today’s homes use a wide range of connected technologies, from light switches and refrigerators to televisions and connected speakers. One of our main motivations is to make the listening experience on Sonos simple, and that includes making sure our products work seamlessly with other smart home products. Now certified by the Works with Sonos program, the new Stream Carbon makes it easy to enjoy all your favorite vinyl in great sound on Sonos,” added Matthew Siegel, Sonos Chief Commercial Officer.

Whether listeners are new to vinyl or are seasoned collectors, the Stream Carbon is meticulously crafted for the discerning consumer, given its premium design and finish. It uses the highest quality materials including a low resonance veneer plinth, premium metal turntable components and a carbon fiber tonearm with a custom designed removable headstock. To further enhance the wireless vinyl listening experience, the turntable comes with a high-end Ortofon Red 2M cartridge for high precision sound on consumer Sonos speakers.

The Victrola Stream Carbon frame is available on the Fnac.fr website for 999 euros.
